High Ropes
Callus

The high ropes course at Cobbs Cross Activity Centre is the newest edition to the list of activities offered to clients. It is an activity that can be enjoyed by all ages in small or large groups. The high ropes course is designed to tackle a number of different issues for example working as a team, making use of people’s strengths and weaknesses and time management. The course consists of different sections which each have a different challenge. These challenges vary in height, some are individual and others are team based. The high ropes course at Cobbs Cross Activity Centre currently involves;

  • Multi vine,
  • Low + high cat walks,
  • Postman’s walk,
  • The trapeze,
  • Gladiator ring.

Safety is obviously of paramount importance, all participants are safety briefed and given helmets and harnesses, then split in two groups with allocated instructors. The instructor (who is a qualified climber), will then give a tour of each section answering any questions and dealing with any anxieties. All participants climb the course attached to a safety rope with a belay similar to rock climbing. If a participant falls or wants to come down they will be safely lowered to the floor by the belay.

By the end of a high ropes session we aim to have increased and developed self confidence and you will have a better understanding of your strengths and weaknesses.
